Optimisme

Puedo aguantar, y falta poco.

After a relaxing time, the official stress has already begun and will last until Fallas (in March): partial and midterm exams, auditions, rehearsals, a lot of time to study and less to have fun.
And my beginning hasn't been the right one: I got used to good life, to walks, to avoid homework, to movies on friday afternoons, to studying the day before. Not only in school, but in every single situation. I risked and lost, and now I'm passing through a transitory period I don't like very much.
My reality has been transcribed in a lot of solitude. A lot of time to think and reflect, maybe too much; some time to become a little neurotic, questionning about things I can't figure out and I'll probably never manage to understand. And I feel alone all the time, instead all those people I love, I feel quiet even though I never shut up. I feel bitter and flat. And I have no ability to get through it.

That's why I wait eagerly for a new opportunity to renew myself, to meet new people and act differently, do something else than wandering on the streets with no clear direction, go out and meet, forget about who dazzles me.
And I'm optimist and I try to get through my days that way, instead I feel my time is getting monotonous, I try to take advantage of my loneliness to know and understand.
In a little time I'll have new chances, just a few days more, just a few more looks from those eyes whose colour I don't know, a few more words from his dark lips.
I can bear it, and it won't take long.

This weekend we had an amazing weather so I went outside to take some photos around the huerta and the little villages over here. I'm in love with l'Horta Nord's light, its sun, its soil, its green... By the way, my professional aspirations are finding some place between all this mess and I'm considering studying arts and after that, fashion designing (I've already organised my erasmus, homes, cities and masterpieces in my mind :D)

plaerdemavida

Veles e vents han mos desigs complir
faent camins dubtosos per la mar.
Mestre i ponent contra d'ells veig armar:
xaloc, llevant, los deuen subvenir,
ab llurs amics lo grec e lo migjorn,

mudant color e l'estat natural,
Grans e pocs peixs a recors correran
e cercaran amagatalls secrets:
fugint al mar on són nodrits e fets,

They usually say there's always a special relationship between musicians and their instruments.
I thought of it many times and considered it wasn't my case, but when I feel a little poethic and think about my piano I realise that instead of the out-tunned notes, its chipped keys, its weakness, its pedals that don't work...something sticks us together, and even though I need another piano, I wouldn't like to get rid of it.
My parents rescued it from a convent's school who was just about to throw it out and they restored it.They left it at home, so it has seen me grow up and it's the main reason why it was my first instrument.
I like to imagine how it was in its glorious days, just in 1750 when it was built at Seville, sweet and well-tunned, with lighten candles on its candelabras, offering imaginary concerts, maybe helping to teach and make others feel music in a school, the box where a young student or an old teacher put their dreams long ago...
And I like it, because it's like me in many ways: it isn't good, it has no quality and it's neither prodigious, but it's melancholic and different and has some time been a little part of a big history.

My Christmas were indescribable, white instead we didn't see snow, quiet in spite of the city noises, special even though we did the same we always do on Christmas. Not much exciting but calm and emotional.
I enjoy Christmas because, besides holidays, I always meet my whole family. I don't feel it's an obligation, I like it and I hope I will be doing the same as years go by. My family is pretty numerous and we've always been so close to each other, probably because we all live near or maybe because we helped each other since the very first time. I think my family is more than those you ought to live with because you had no choice, it's quite an emotional bounds institution. The ones who can barely see me tell me how much I've grown up, as I will probably do with my cousins, nephews and nieces. The little ones always cheer us up with their party pieces, and the grown-ups talk while we all notice the passage of time and thank whoever put us in this beautiful situation.
Our trip to Italy was wonderful: we visited Florence, Pisa and Siena and I fell in love even more with Italy -although I fall in love with every single city and start making plans in my mind about friend trips or erasmus-. I'll make a post about them because if I begin, I'll finish with another bore like the family one and you won't be able to stand me:) We celebrated New Year's Eve at Piazza Sta.Maria Novella, next to our hotel, changing a little bit the Spanish ritual, shouting and singing on the street (a japanese man recorded us on his video-camera!). I was already in bed at 1:00 am watching a summary of Sex and The City seasons in italian,so it wasn't the biggest party ever in my life, but it was different.
Once we were here, I got a lot of presents, had more lunches with family, hot chocolate and photos with my friends, the sales, the rain and THE SNOW! My dad woke us up early in the morning to see it, we were all very excited even though it didn't settle, because it's very unusual to see snow here, right in the Mediterranean.
And I guess I'll tell you another day about the bore I've got in mind, because sometimes I reach my limits on writing and end by boring myself too!

Happy 2010 to everyone, hope you enjoy your future plans -it's the time for me to plan everything- and your new beginnings.
